Whether you have used any of the iconic Olaplex products or not, I am sure you have heard everyone talking about how fabulous they are.
So what exactly is all the hype about?
Olaplex has a wide range of different hair products that are designed to benefit all hair types. With its patented bond building technology, these products have become absolutely revolutionary in the world of beauty.
The secret behind this fabulous line of products is the ingredient (molecule) Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. This molecule helps to strengthen hair bonds from the inside out to dramatically improve the health of each hair strand.

Olaplex No4 Shampoo & No5 Conditioner
I am always on the hunt for a good shampoo and conditioner and the Olaplex Bond Maintenance No4 Shampoo and No5 Conditioner have got to be one of my favourite product duos! Whether they are used together or separately, I find them super moisturizing without being too heavy. Since using these two products my hair feels stronger and healthier than ever!
The shampoo is really thick and creamy so it feels super luxurious. At first I thought that it may be too heavy but after using it, it feels light and lathers like a dream! I love that you only need a tiny bit of product for it to lather up and get the job done so you don’t go through the product too quickly. It never fails to leave my hair feeling strong and healthy.
I always like to leave the conditioner on for about 5 minutes before rinsing it out so that my hair feels soft, shiny and perfectly hydrated. To get the best results, make sure to leave the conditioner on for at least 3 minutes before rinsing it out.
Olaplex No3 Hair Perfector Treatment
Olaplex No3 Hair Perfector… the treatment that started it all! I swear by this product… it is truly that good!
If you have been following along, then you have probably heard me talk about this hair treatment before. It is the best of the best when it comes to repairing hair that has been compromised to help strengthen the overall health of each hair strand. It repairs the bonds within the hair to restore its texture and appearance so that you are left with beautiful, healthy hair!
The trick with this product is that is has to be used correctly to get the benefit! It needs to be applied to damp hair (not soaking wet) and used BEFORE you shampoo and condition your hair.
First, I always rinse and towel dry my hair. I then generously apply the product from roots to ends, concentrating on the areas that have the most damage. For me, that is the hair that frames my face. I brush it through with my wet brush and tie my hair in a bun so that is out of my face. I leave the treatment in for a minimum of 30 minutes before shampooing it out (although it can be used for as little as 10 minutes or for as long as you like). As long as the hair remains damp, then the treatment is activated and working properly.
Olaplex No6 Bond Smoother Leave-In
While we are on the topic of hair treatments, let’s talk about the Olaplex No6 Bond Smoother Leave In Treatment. This is a light weight cream based product that is designed to hydrate, smooth and protect the hair.
I am a huge fan of this product because it truly works and is so easy to use. It will cut down drying time and provide needed heat protection. After washing my hair, I apply this product to my ends or any areas that may have damage or frizz. I then blow dry and style my hair as normal.
A little bit of this product truly goes a long way and it never fails to perfectly smooth my hair by eliminating any unwanted frizz. Not to mention, it strengthens and perfectly hydrates my hair without feeling heavy.
Olaplex No7 Bonding Oil
Olaplex No7 Bonding Oil not only provides all the goodness of a normal hair oil… but impressively strengthens and protects the hair. It’s not often that you find a hair oil that helps to rebuild the bonds within each strand to make them stronger than ever… so obviously I just had to try it!
Since using this bonding oil, I have honestly been hooked! It perfectly smoothes away any frizz, adds a ton of shine and provides heat protection… all without weighing down my hair.
Personally, I like to use this feather light hair oil on dry hair opposed to wet hair, although it works great either way! I use the No7 Bonding Oil on dry hair before and after styling my hair with a curling iron or flat iron. By applying a small amount of this oil before styling with heat, you will get needed heat protection to keep your hair strong.
Once my hair is styled, if I feel it needs any extra shine or smoothing then I proceed to apply another small amount to the ends. It is also a great product to help refresh the ends on second or third day hair!
