Eat colourfully with my Delicious Loaded Mediterranean Hummus!

Okay guys… you HAVE to try my Loaded Mediterranean Hummus! It is full of flavour and will please any crowd!

Store bought hummus is delicious, don’t get me wrong! BUT there is something about recipes made from scratch that just taste better… am I right?? The best part is, homemade hummus is so simple and easy to prepare! It will look like you spent forever putting together this amazing appetizer, when in reality it only takes about 10 minutes! It can be our little secret 😉

Loaded Hummus

It’s The Toppings For Me

While the hummus is perfectly garlicky and delicious on it’s own… this recipe is really about the toppings! They bring so much flavour and texture to create the perfect bite!

One of my favourite ingredients in this recipe, is the addition of the Seven Spice Hot Chili Oil. I mean you guys, it is soooooo good! If you haven’t tasted it, I definitely recommend giving it a try!

Loaded Hummus

Loaded Mediterranean Hummus


Ingredients:

19 oz Can of Chickpeas

2/3 cup Tahini

The Juice of 1 Lemon

4 Large Garlic Cloves

2 ml Salt

2 ml Ground Cumin

2 tbsp Olive Oil

3 tbsp Cold Water

Toppings:

Jalapeno Stuffed Olives

Roasted Red Peppers

Cherry Tomatoes

Fresh Cilantro (you can also use parsley)

Crumbled Feta

Toasted Pinenuts

Chili Oil (Seven Spice: Hot)

Method

In a food processor, combine the tahini, fresh lemon juice, garlic cloves, salt, ground cumin, olive oil and cold water. Blend until all of the ingredients are combined. 

Rinse the chickpeas and add them to the food processor with the other ingredients. Blend until the hummus is smooth and creamy. Feel free to add extra salt or lemon juice if needed.

Smooth the hummus onto a plate and drizzle with the spicy chili oil. 

Roughly chop the toppings into bite size pieces and arrange the ingredients on top of the hummus. 

Serve with your choice of tortilla chips, veggies or grilled pita. Enjoy!
