Inspired By Charm

Looking for fun and festive ways to decorate this Christmas?

Christmas has to be one of the most magical and beautiful seasons of the year when it comes to seasonal decorating. We often put in the most time and effort into decorating our homes for the holidays to help create the perfect oasis to enjoy with friends and family.

When it comes to decorating for the holidays, I always like to get a head start and set up the decorations at the end of November because I honestly just can’t wait!

Below I am sharing 5 Festive Christmas Decorating Colour Schemes to help inspire you this holiday season!

Get Creative with Silver and Grey

Step out of the ordinary and consider decorating with soft neutral colours like silver and grey. I know you may be thinking, why on earth would I decorate with grey for the holidays!? It sounds unusual, but grey is a great way to introduce blue into the picture… and I’m sure many of you have decorated with blue during the holiday season before!

Pictured above is an example of how deep greys and silver blend perfectly with blue to create a modern yet super cozy Christmas colour scheme! The great thing about these colours, is that they are neutral enough that they mesh well with almost any decor you may already have in your home.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas with Vibrant Reds

If stepping out of the box isn’t your thing, then keep it more traditional with festive, vibrant reds! Red absolutely screams Christmas and will instantly transform any room into a picture perfect holiday space.

You can mix and match jolly reds with rich greens, bright whites or even metallics like silver and gold. These colours are versatile and bring a fun, festive look to any home to make it cozy and stand out among the rest.

Like I always say… you can’t beat the classics!

Bring the Snowy Winter Wonderland inside

Consider creating a white Christmas this year with a snowy colour palette. Soft whites bring the outside in to make a space feel bright and magical.

You can introduce a Christmas tree with white, snowy details among the branches, or opt to use white decorations on the tree and throughout the house.

White is the perfect blank canvas to host other colours within a colour scheme. You could incorporate traditional Christmas colours like red, green or blue… or even use soft metallics like silver and gold to create a more sophisticated look. The possibilities are endless when using white!

Natural and Cozy

Embracing a rustic, natural look is a fun new trend within Christmas decorating!

Natural elements such as pinecones, woven or beaded garland,  yarn and even pompoms can all come together to create an exciting new take on holiday decor. Bring it all together with white twinkling lights to create a cozy space to curl up in during the holiday season!

Feel Merry and Bright with Rich Golds

Neutral colour palettes have become increasingly more popular over the years. Consider making your home shine this Christmas with one of the most popular colour schemes of soft silver and rich gold tones.

Even though this colour scheme is quite neutral, it reads as bright and festive! I love how these tones match seamlessly with almost any home decor style.

I hope these 5 Festive Christmas Decorating Colour Schemes could help inspire you this holiday season!
